Resume and Cover Letter Resources:

• Rutgers Career Services: Your local source for finding jobs, a career, or useful advice.
• Monster.com: One of the top internet sources for locating a job. See, in particular, Monster's resume resources, but avoid the resume-writing service link and scroll down to find information on resumes and cover letters, including sample resumes, do's and don't's, and industry-targeted resume information.
• Career Builder.com: The other major source for job listings on the Web. It's career resources area, howver, has little advice on resumes and cover letters.
• Resume Tutor: A step-by-step online workbook to creating your resume. Covers all the basics in some detail and has some sample resumes, too.
• JobStar: Another good informational resource with sample resumes and sample cover letters. The site also has links to ther resume resources on the Web.

Doing Research:

• Research Depot: An online tutorial developed for 355:201 Research in the disciplines that guides you through the research process, step by step.
• Widener University, Wolfgram Memorial Library: This site is useful because it provides checklists for evaluating different kinds of Web sites, from personal pages to business sites. That allows you to focus your evaluation according to the kind of site you are considering.
• University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire, McIntyre Library: A thorough set of criteria for you to consider based on "10 C's" and including questions about everything from "connectivity" and "context" to "critical thinking."
• "Evaluate Web Resources" from WebSerch: This site has a great, exhaustive checklist that you can print and use while looking a site. This is a particularly useful site for evaluating sources.
• "Evaluation of information sources" from the Information Quality WWW Virtual Library: This is a bibliography with links to a variety of sites concering evaluation of internet sources.

Oral Presentations and Visual Aids:

• Art of Communicating Effectively: Tips for a successful presentation, including both planning/structure and performance/presentation.
• Presentation Tips: Some good tips on how to present effectively without annoying your audience.
