Instructions: Converting to RTF

Saving your document in Rich Text Format (RTF or .rtf) preserves any formatting, as well as font, color, and some page layout information from your Word and WordPerfect documents. This allows you to share your document with others regardless of what word processor they have. Sharing Rich Text Format documents is also more secure since the risk of RTF files being infected with viruses is minimal.
