view voraciously

Clear your head.
Stay calm.
Watch as everything happens around you.

Everything reverts to its original state, which was nothing.
And whenever something becomes nothing,
it gets right with Tao.

To walk the Path you must first see it. To create good design, you must first view good designs.

Design is a visual language: words, colors, placement, images. As we read more and more of a language, we learn it. In terms of the web, that means looking at pages—lots of them. And this doesn't mean reading lots of pages, but LOOKING.

View everything, see nothing, and thereby let the eyes absorb the whole. Let your gaze float above the page, so that you do not notice this or that paragraph but watch instead the pattern of text that is formed; you do not see this or that color, but the palette that emerges; you do not attend to graphics and text but vertical and horizontal space.

View voraciously. See the Path to your own design.
