Four men were sitting around a campfire one night.
Suddenly, one of the men hammered a nail into his foot and ran off
into the night, screaming in pain.
The remaining three men decided to write this strange
event down in their diaries so that others would not make the same
mistake.
The first wrote, "Thou shalt not hammer nails
into thy feet."
The second wrote "By the beating of the butterfly's
wings and the tiger's breath at night, great sorrow shall befall
those who hammer nails into their feet."
The third, and last, man, wrote "If you hammer
a nail into your foot, it will hurt!"

Content is conversation. Write simply, and be understood.
Do not aim for overwrought sentences. That has no virtue. Do not
strive for stylistic niceties. That has no virute. Write as though
speaking to your equal. That has virtue.
