The sage has no mind of his own.
He is aware of the needs of others.

The Tao Te Ching

Do you speak to your parents as you would speak to a child? Do you speak in class as you would speak at home? Do you speak to your teachers as you would speak to your students?

Know your audience. Write not just for them, but to them. Information is formless. Give it the form your audience needs.

If you write only for yourself, you are your only audience. Be aware of the needs of others, forget your own mind, and direct your content to those who need it. Change your style, your voice, your complexity, your chunking. Be one with your audience.
